Bay Avenue Residence
The Bay Avenue client was looking for an independent residential landscaper with local knowledge and expertise, and I was fortunate to receive a recommendation from a friend within the industry. After an initial meeting with the client, I then spent a day with the client's wife and the architect. We toured Miami and spent a great deal of time looking at gardens and landscapes and discussing their preferences. Next, I presented a conceptual design that featured different types of landscaping, gardens and water features around the various areas of the home. The concept was approved right away with some minor adjustments including a croquet field and the use of specialty grass. The architecture, physical location and landscape all work together to create an exquisite harmony. One of the nicest things about this job was the easy communication with the architect and owners — it made our work together go smoothly and was very pleasant.
